Shelf Life Evaluations
Overall, the Advanced Biologicals treated products had
greater whiteness at harvest and throughout shelf life compared to
controls. The loss of whiteness during
shelf life deteriorated more slowly than the controls. The amount of disease due to bacterial growth
during shelf life was also absent or slowed significantly in the Advanced
Biologicals-treated mushrooms. These
trends applied to mushrooms from both the 1st and 2nd breaks
